Over the last few years, we have seen an absurd amount of superhero movies, and although most are moderately good, there are some works that will be remembered for their terrible quality. One of them is Suicide Squad from 2016, a film that, despite having been successful at the box office, was a resounding failure as far as criticism is concerned.
One of the main reasons why the film did not convince people was the joker interpreted by Jared Leto, a character who, since his first appearance, has already caused widespread anger among fans due to the tattoos he wore all over his face and body. Now, 7 years later, the director David Ayer apologizes with all his followers for having made that decision, assuring that he feels regret to this day.
“The tattoo idea belongs to me 100%. It was my choice. I regret that decision. It created acrimony and division. Not all ideas are good. And I’ll stand here in the corner while the internet slaps me for this post.”
