We are still not halfway through our Telialiga prediction. It is Wednesday and in order we have placed Jotunheimen, Center Gaming and Infurity from 10th place to 8th place respectively. It’s the fourth team’s turn and we predict that Bitfix will be the next team on the list and end up right over the line when the points are counted.

Bitfix kept their place in that company after finishing 8th in qualifying against Static last season. The club, with a long history in the Telialigaen, had few problems against the 2nd division club and thus kept the place.

– To end up so close to relegation would have been a big disappointment

THESE PLAYERS FOR BITFIX GAMING

We have had a chat with Gamer.no writer, but now Bitfix player Oliver “mero” Olsen, who is the only one left in the Bitfix team together with Martin “hyp3” Lyngås. Olsen hopes they will show a better side in the coming season.

– Our expectations for the spring season are that we will make a better figure than last year. I feel that we are more than just a couple of notches above the level of some of the teams in the division now, and should be able to put up a good fight against the playoff contenders as well. Ending up as close to relegation as last year also this season would have been a big disappointment, but it is clear that with little preparation and certainly some nerves in the game early on, it is difficult to be able to predict how the first rounds will go.

Bitfix could just over a week ago announce the spring line-up. This has meant little training, says Olsen.

– We finished fifth exactly a week ago, and with official matches almost every other day, there has been little time for training. But it must be said that we have been incredibly efficient. We have got a lot in place, all five are very hungry and put in a bunch of extra hours both before and after all training. We have about a week left until the start of the season, and haven’t touched half of the maps in the rotation, so we’ve got some tough days ahead of us, no doubt. But with the steps we have taken so far, I expect that we can compete against all the teams in the division after the first Telialiga break, explains the Bitfix player.

Predicting a better season for own team and 777

Olsen believes that they themselves have strengthened the team before a new season of the Telialigaen, and believes that 777 will avenge the disappointing autumn last year.

– I think 777 will win this year’s spring season quite comfortably. On paper, they have everything it takes to be Norway’s best team, but it is clear that Apeks Rebels can surprise like they did last year. It must be said that even though 777 has had mixed results internationally lately, I would consider 777 a team that is again a couple of notches higher than both Apeks Rebels, Metizport and VOID even on a slightly bad day, Olsen explains.

At the same time, many people caught the eye of Apeks Rebels player Patrik “Brave” Heibø Karlsen, who stood out during the semi-finals against 777 during the autumn playoffs. Olsen believes the Apeks Rebels player will continue his development this season.

– “Brave” is a player that I have played with ever since I put together my first semi-serious team in the Telialigaen. I first spoke to him in a Norwegian Faceit Hub almost four years ago and have had good contact with him since. It is incredibly fun to see how big steps he has already taken and how far he has come, and if his development continues in the same vein, I have no doubt that he can become one of Norway’s best riflers.

Olsen is also looking forward to meeting the Apeks Rebels.

– Apeks Rebels are without a doubt the team I’m most looking forward to meeting. We lost against them in an evenly played game in the Bergen Games which I feel we should have won, and considering that it was with zero practice at the bottom and that most of us were most likely sitting with a little extra nerves in our first official game, I think the match in the Telialigaen will be very even and exciting.

– We have predicted you in 7th place. What are your immediate thoughts on that?

– The prediction is fair, but I can’t say I would be happy after the season if we only beat the three teams predicted below us. If we manage to continue working well and efficiently as we have done now at the start, and run away with the points we need in the preliminary rounds, there is not much to do before we are also in the fight for the play-offs, says Olsen confidently fixed.

Why are we predicting Bitfix Gaming in 7th place?

The editors predict a similar season for Bitfix Gaming as last autumn. The loss of Kim Fredrik “Winther” Winther initially weakened the team, but Magnus “hagmeister” Hagen has shown that he is an emerging talent and can make the team take new steps.

We believe that Bitfix Gaming is a notch stronger than the three teams below them and should not end up in a situation with their backs against the wall. Should they manage to pick up points against the teams slightly above them in the table, the table position may be better than expected, but should they slip against supposedly weaker opposition, nerves may get the better of them.
