After the appeal, the judgment was upheld by the Higher Administrative Court. “The election poster aims to equate all migrants with murderers, of whom Germans everywhere should be afraid,” the court said at the time.

The sixth senate of the BVG in Leipzig has now announced that the Order of the city of Mönchengladbach illegal was. According to a spokeswoman for the BVG, the complaint by the NPD district association was upheld because the courts of appeal had violated the principles of interpretation for the recording of expressions of opinion. With a view to the election poster, there was a “range of deviating interpretations” that the Higher Administrative Court did not take into account. (dpa)
