There GeForce RTX 4070 of Nvidia is now getting closer to its debut and it seems that may be available with different memory sizesat least according to the Thai site of Gigabyte, which has listed models that equip from 10GB to 16GB of VRAM. The video card should be sold starting in April, what emerged on the Taiwanese company’s website may not be definitive, given that the GPU specifications have not yet been revealed, but it seems quite credible.

The Gigabyte site specifically lists the GeForce RTX 4070 variants with 10GB, 12GB, and 16GB of GDDR6X video memory, in the models Gaming OC 10 GB, Aorus Master 12 GB, Eagle OC 12 GB, Gaming OC 12 GB and Gaming OC 16 GB. The RTX 4070 is expected to make use of the AD104 graphics processor, featuring 5888 CUDA cores, operating at frequencies ranging from 1920 MHz to 2475 MHz, along with a 192-bit memory bus. The use of 2GB GDDR6X memory modules implies the integration of 6 modulesin the case of the hypothetical 1 model2GB, or 12 modules as for that from 16 GB.

The AD104 is not physically capable of supporting a 256-bit bus, in order to guarantee adequate memory bandwidth for 16GB modules, but it can still do so with its 256-bit bus. 192-bit without the need to make use of an elaborate configuration. Obviously we will have to wait for the April debut of the GeForce RTX 4070, to find out if these hypothetical memory cuts that have recently emerged will really exist.

In the meantime, Nvidia has addressed an issue with Discord that was causing video memory operating frequencies to drop during gameplay. The solution was released in the background, somewhat unbeknownst to users, without showing any notifications and updates the driver profiles used by Discord: we talked about it in this article.
