Octogenarian suffers cramp and falls in his car down a ravine in Morovis

A man, who got a leg cramp, fell down a ravine at about 3:00 in the afternoon on Saturday, on the PR-567 highway in Barrio Pasto, in Morovis.

According to the police report, the 86-year-old man was driving his gray Suzuki Vitara vehicle and was going to turn in front of the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Chapel. When he put his vehicle in gear, he claimed that he got a cramp in his right leg. As a result, he left the public road and fell over a 100-foot slope of vegetation.

He was transported by paramedics to the Morovis Municipal Emergency Management base. From there, he was transported by Aeromed to the Rio Piedras Medical Center in careful condition.

The agent Juan Perales Valentín, attached to the Manatí Highway Patrol Division, and the prosecutor Ariel Chico Juarbe, from the Arecibo prosecutor’s office, are investigating.
