A week has passed since the violent earthquake that devastated areas of Turkey and Syria and yet rescuers continue to pull survivors out of the rubble. Nevertheless, the number of fatalities amounts to 35,225 people.

According to telamthe magnitude 7.8 earthquake caused the death of 31,643 people in southern Turkey; while the authorities counted 3,581 dead in Syria. Even according to the UN the death toll could “double”.

In this sense, more than 32,000 people from local organizations work in the search and rescue efforts together with 8,294 rescuers from abroad, indicated the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

In addition, a brigade with 28 Argentine troops, from the Argentine Federal Police and white helmetswhich depends on the Chancellerythey traveled to Turkey to join the search and rescue work of people.
