A Time shared the annual list of the 100 most influential personalities of the year and, as you would expect, some well-known technology people can be found. However, the highlight goes to the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altmanand to the CEO of TikTok, Shou Zi Chew.
It is worth remembering that the two executives became known among the general public between the end of 2022 and the beginning of this year, which is why they are included on this list. However, the two CEOs are on this list for very different reasons.
While Sam Altman and OpenAI became known for ChatGPT, a tool equipped with Artificial Intelligence that became popular among Internet users, Shou Zi Chew was more talked about due to the audience he attended to respond to suspicions around TikTok.
Despite this, it is indisputable that the presence of Sam Altman and Shou Zi Chew at Time is a clear sign of the times we live in and of some of the biggest issues and controversies in the world of technology today.
