OPPO releases update schedule for ColorOS 13 in Q1 2023

Near the end of 2022, OPPO disclosed to brand users the ColorOS 13 operating system update schedule in the 1st quarter of 2023, a period in which the Chinese brand should focus on bringing the software to intermediate models that did not receive the update via notification. OPPO continues to update its smartphones to ColorOS 13, the latest version of the company’s interface that brings improvements and news to the brand’s users. OPPO releases update schedule for ColorOS 13 stable and public beta

Launched in the second half of August by OPPO, the system ColorOS 13 in its stable version it was first made available for the Find X5 with the promise of updating for other advanced models. This Tuesday (6), the manufacturer released the official update schedule for the software reaching more devices.

As in previous generations, this time the company also adopted the batch distribution method, varying the software version released and compatible devices. As per the listing, both the stable and public beta versions will be offered via OTA notification starting September 16th.

Initially, only device owners from China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, France, Australia and Vietnam will receive ColorOS 13 based on Android 13, while other users will have to wait until the announcement of the global version happens, remaining in the previous generation of the interface, ColorOS 12 running on top of Android 12.

According to information released by OPPO, the new version brings improvements to the visual identity, greater customization on the lock screen and optimization of energy consumption, among other novelties.
