Before the proposal of Federal government to transfer the Executive Secretariat of the National System for the Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents (SIPINNA) to the National System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF), with the argument of savings, different organizations in the country have shown their rejection.

These are Organizations that make up the Pact for Early Childhood, as well as independent experts, who stand out in different positions that the elimination of SIPINNA would imply a 30 year throwback to the detriment of childhood.

“EI SIPINNA and DIF do not duplicate their functions, on the contrary, those of SIPINNA are hierarchically superior in attention to children, as an instance of coordination and internal policy,” they pointed out in ideas.

Why don’t you want SIPINNA to disappear?

The Organizations made up of experts in the field and politicians, pointed out that the SIPINNA is the most advanced institutional design that has been achieved in the Americas for the comprehensive protection of the rights of children and adolescents.

For this reason, making it disappear would cause a vulnerability in public policy with a human rights perspective for all children.

The country has a record of 38.3 million girls, boys and adolescents, representing 30.4 percent of the country’s population.
