Mexico City.- If Paquita la del Barrio expressed her solidarity with Shakira, it was, first, because she is a woman, and, second, because she also suffered in her own flesh the deception of a man, as happened to the Colombian with Gerard Piqué.
For this reason, the interpreter of “Rata de Dos Patas”, “Chiquito” and “Pobre Pistolita” sent a message of support to the singer through a video in which she expressed her support and asked her to recover from the sentimental situation that faces.
In a telephone interview, Paquita commented that she would like to do a musical fusion with her.
“Ah, well, if it is offered, with great pleasure,” he declared.
– Do you admire her as a singer?, she was questioned.
“Of course, so here we are, to order,” he said.
Paquita laughs when asked about the memes that associate her with Shakira.
Admired by the new generations of music, but also respected by established stars such as Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee, Pedro Fernández, Bad Bunny, Karol G, Ana Bárbara and Los Dos Carnales, the Veracruz woman also experienced an episode of infidelity from the man she loved.
“Yes, that was my sadness throughout my life,” said Francisca Viveros Barradas, the 75-year-old singer’s first name when talking about the infidelity that made her suffer.
“My husband cheated on me when I lived in Alto Lucero (Veracruz), almost immediately after (after getting married). It was easy for him,” she recalled.
Paquita, who won the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021, considered that the Latino artists leading the music scene have been very kind to her.
“That’s what counts in life. I thank you all,” he added, referring to the expressions of affection he receives from the new generations.
“As an artist I have struggled a lot, I have lived through everything, so I see my colleagues as they are and as I am, and I love them all very much.”
In this telephone conversation, the singer, who will visit the Monterrey Arena on March 3 with Ana Bárbara, pointed out that she still has the desire and strength to continue being active on stage.
“Until one endures,” he said.
“The important thing is to be well, to be well with the public, which is the one that interests me.”
