O Jorge Palma’s new album, ‘Vida’, is released on Friday, April 28, in digital format and in a special edition, which includes a box with a ‘facsimile’ of the first draft that gives the album its name, as well as a ‘booklet’ with unique photographs and of course the disc itself.

The presentation of the album, which will be released in a ‘standard’ edition in mid-June, is scheduled for May 6, at the Convent of São Francisco, in Coimbra.

‘Vida’ is released 12 years after Jorge Palma’s last album, ‘Com Todo o Respeito’. It is the definitive return of the musician and composer to the stage with new works in hand. They are, in total, ten original themesof which the eponymous ‘single’ is already knownfeaturing Júlio Pereira on acoustic guitar and arrangements by Filipe Melo.

The artist’s team also highlights, in a statement, ‘Plantas na Lua’, with the participation of Manuela Azevedo and Rui Reininhoand ‘3 palms in hand’ which marks the debut of Francisco Palma, the youngest son of the artisttogether with his father and brother, Vicente, who has already shared the stage with his father for many years.

“In addition to the emotion inherent in these meetings, I was delighted with the meticulous and rigorous execution of each one of them, always in tune with my precious support band”, said Jorge Palma, quoted in the same missive, where he argued, to justify the 12 years of hiatus, that “the studio is like a laboratory, a place where we have to perfect the tuning, the diction, everything”.

Jorge Palma celebrated, between October and November last year, 50 years of careercelebrating them with the concert ‘Antologia’, in which he recalled his entire discography, divided into six different concert moments.
