Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy, the two actors who will play the princely couple, appear hand in hand in recent photos from the set of the series shared by the platform.

The sixth and final season of The Crown is revealed through new images. Netflix shared this Thursday several snapshots of Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, in the next installment of the series, broadcast on the platform since 2016.

23-year-old comedian Ed McVey was cast as the Prince of Wales when he entered the University of St. Andrews, Scotland in the 2000s. the meeting of the one who will become his future companion, Kate, camped by the actress Meg Bellamy (19 years old).

Netflix also specifies that the scenes relayed this Thursday were shot in the real Scottish establishment.

Last season

Le casting d’Ed Mcvey et Meg Bellamy was announced last September. For the rest of the cast, which changes every two seasons to match the age of the characters, the two actors will notably give the reply to Imelda Staunton in the role of Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philippe), Lesley Manville ( Princess Margaret), Dominic West (Prince Charles), Elizabeth Debicki (Princess Diana), Claudia Harrison (Princess Anne) and Olivia Williams (Camilla Parker Bowles).

According to the first elements of the scenario, this sixth and final season of The Crown will focus on the life of the British royal family until the early 2000s and will thus return to significant events for the Crown such as the meeting between Kate and William or the accident of Lady Diana in Paris which cost her her life in 1997.

For the time being, no precise broadcast date for the last ten episodes of the series has been communicated by Netflix.
