Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is originally a pen and paper role-playing game in which players take on the roles of heroes in a fantasy world. The goal of the game is to go on adventures, collect treasures and save the world from menacing monsters and other dangers. The world of D&D is fictional and full of magic and there are different races like elves, dwarves, humans and others to play as.

The rules of D&D allow players to customize and improve their characters by earning experience points and upgrading their skills and equipment. A game master, also known as a “Dungeon Master” (DM), directs the game and describes the environment players traverse and the NPCs players encounter. The DM also provides the tasks and quests that players must complete in order to successfully complete the adventure.
