Cyprus-based indie developers Owlcat Games are delighted with a new sales milestone. As the team announced in a press release, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has now surpassed one million copies sold on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. This is quite a success for the small studio, which has raised the necessary funds for the development of the role-playing game with the help of a Kickstarter campaign. Just like its predecessor Kingmaker, Wrath of the Righteous is based on the Pathfinder pen and paper system, which split off from the much better known Dungeons & Dragons over ten years ago.
“Reaching such a milestone with our second game is a very important sign for us that the company is moving in the right direction. We are committed to bringing the best CRPG experience to the market and will continue to bring the rich world of Pathfinder to life.” with content including premium and free DLCs,” said Alexander Mishulin, creative director at Owlcat Games. In this context, the developers also immediately announced that the first premium DLC of the second season pass will be released on March 7, 2023 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. For the cloud version on the Nintendo Switch, the content pack will be submitted later.
A new companion and a new playable class await you in the DLC entitled “The Last of the Sarkorians”. “The nation of Sarkoris has been destroyed by demons, but the last inhabitants are ready to fight back. Ulbrig Olesk is a sarkorian shifter who can transform into a powerful gryphon and remembers Sarkoris as it was before Areelu Vorlesh opened the Worldwound . He joins the group and embarks on the crusade as the last surviving chieftain of ancient Sarkoris,” reads the expansion pack’s description.
Celebrating the sales success of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous (buy now €45.99 / €14.99 ) the developers have also started a sale. On Steam and GOG there is a 70 percent discount on the base game, the Mythic and Commander editions and a 50 percent discount on the premium DLCs that are already available until January 26th.
