Hasan Salihamidzic recently stated that Benjamin Pavard is in talks about a contract extension. From FC Bayern’s point of view, however, these discussions were apparently not fruitful. As ‘Sport1’ reports, the French defender is sticking to his plan to leave the record champions at the end of the season.
Agent Pini Zahavi has already been called in to find a new club for Pavard. A hot lead leads to FC Barcelona. The Catalans have already publicly expressed their interest.

According to ‘Sport1’, the reason for Pavard’s pronounced desire to change is not least the poor relationship with his superiors. The 26-year-old is from both the Bayern bosses and coach Julian Nagelsmann “disappointed for a long time”. All attempts to convince the world champion of a contract extension are likely to continue to fizzle out.
In the summer – and thus a year before the end of the contract – the paths will probably separate. Saying goodbye in winter, on the other hand, is not an issue. João Cancelo’s forthcoming arrival will not change that.
