Although it was well-loved by fans and critics alike and received a confirmed sequel, many were still worried that there would be nothing more after season two was not included in the first phase of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new plans for DC ‘s film universe.
However, the series has not been cancelled, but now it is announced that it has been greatly delayed. In response to a tweet asking when we would see season two, James Gunn replied that it has “postponed” while working on the film Superman Legacy.
However, Gunn reminds us that we will see the Amanda Waller spinoff series, which has direct connections to Peacemaker. After the end of season one, Waller’s illegal dealings with Task Force X were exposed by her daughter, and we will follow the consequences of this in the Waller series.
Of course we think it’s really sad that there won’t be more Peacemaker for a while, but better late than never.
