And it’s more good news that has just fallen for French video games… Yes, the Pegasus ceremony will be back with a 2023 edition to elect the best games of the year 2022!

Summary

  • The Pegasus, back soon!
  • Who are the big contenders for the game of the year 2022?

The Pegasus, back soon!

After Geoff Keighley’s Game Awards, the video game will still have the right to a nice ceremony in his name. You probably guessed it, the Pegasus will be back with a fourth edition, and in just a few weeks.

This event organized by the Academy of Video Game Arts and Techniques gives us an appointment to March 9 at 8 p.m. Everything will be hosted once again by Salomé Lagresle (whom you have surely already seen on the JVTV) and broadcast on Twitch. For those who want to live a real experience, also note that the whole thing can be seen live at La Cigale, in Paris, just that.

Who are the big contenders for the game of the year 2022?

We don’t yet know which French productions will compete for the 19 awards, starting with Best Video Game of the Year, but the trailer above already gives us a few hints. Indeed, we can therefore expect to find during the ceremony several great titles such as Stray, the game that has made a lot of noise because it offers a cat as the main character, but also TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, the beat’em up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or the excellent A Plague Tale: Requiem and of course Mario + The Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Other French productions which were not necessarily revealed during the announcement trailer of the Pégases 2023 may also be there, we are thinking in particular of Foretales and Tinykin.

As a reminder, the 2022 edition of the Pegasus was, for its part, under the sign of Deathloop and Road 96. The two titles had indeed won the majority of the prizes on their own.
