The secretary general of the CFDT Laurent Berger considers that preventing the examination of the bill aimed at repealing the pension reform “would be unacceptable”.

Preventing the examination of the bill aimed at repealing the decline in the legal retirement age, as provided for by the majority, “would be unacceptable”, said Tuesday evening the secretary general of the CFDT, Laurent Berger.

“It would be unacceptable for (this) bill not to be examined by Parliament” as planned on June 8, he declared after an interview at Matignon with Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, adding that his union “will continue (the) mobilization on the question of pensions” with in particular a 14th day of strike and demonstration on June 6.
