Weeks ago, a family from La Plata lost their lives in this sector / web
Provincial Route 29 was once again the scene of a tragedy. As this newspaper reported at the beginning of the month, a family from La Plata died on this provincial road after the truck they were traveling in, a Jeep, collided head-on with a large truck.
The tragic event took place at kilometer 222, on January 2. The victims were identified as Pedro Arsenio Billordo, a 42-year-old doctor; his wife María Soledad Navaro, a professor at the Faculty of Journalism of the National University of La Plata, 46; and his daughter Lupe, 6.
Two days before, at km. 98, a 38-year-old man had also been killed in a head-on collision.
Yesterday at noon, another 2 people lost their lives and another 2 were in serious condition at the Ayacucho Municipal Hospital, after the Toyota Hilux in which they were traveling collided, also head-on, with a Ford truck, at km 244, a section located a few kilometers from the Buenos Aires town of Ayacucho.
The violence of the accident was reflected in a series of photos in which you can see the state in which the truck was left with a large part of its bodywork destroyed.
Route 29 joins from its beginning in Coronel Brandsen, to the cities of Gral. Belgrano, Ayacucho and 226, 30 km from Balcarce. As it runs almost parallel to Highway 2, especially in the summer season, it is widely used by tourists coming or going from the Atlantic Coast.
