If you want to equip your home and garden with Philips Hue products, you have had to dig much deeper into your pockets than with comparable products from Ikea, Innr, Osram or Levance, Yeelight and Co inflation does not go unnoticed by the Dutch group Signify either. He sells the Philips Hue brand in Germany and is apparently on the verge of another price increase.
Six to 17 percent: The price increases continue
That’s how he reports Hueblog about an increase in prices of up to 17 percent. And that from February 1, 2023. Numerous Philips Hue products will therefore become more expensive, especially wall and ceiling lights, outdoor lamps and light strips. Examples include the Hue Enrave and Hue Ensis models, whose prices are set to rise from EUR 259.99 to EUR 299.99 and from EUR 439.99 to EUR 479.99 respectively. From February, Philips’ outdoor lightstrip will even be sold for 239.99 euros. At the market launch in 2018, this was still 159.99 euros. A large number of Hue products appear to have been hit by price increases in recent years, with prices now increasing by up to 50 percent over their lifetime. From Amaranth and Discover to Infuse and Sana to Turaco and Wellness, February sees prices picking up across the portfolio.
Shopping tip: Cheaper alternatives to the Philips Hue portfolio can be found at Tink, Amazon or Media Markt, among others.
