Despite the snatch draw against FC Sville (1-1) this Thursday, in the first leg of the Europa League, Adrien Rabiot (28 years old, 12 games and 3 goals in the European Cup this season) cannot forget a game fact. Juventus Turin was still behind when the Frenchman suffered a contentious intervention by central defender Loc Bad in the area. The referees did not however signal anything, hence the frustration of the midfielder.
“I immediately showed the mark to the referee but he had no reaction, said the former Parisian after the meeting. The VAR said nothing, but I’m not one to complain, I immediately felt that he had grabbed my leg. That’s why I stayed on the ground. Then I saw the images again and it seemed empty, there was clearly a penalty. But the referee decided otherwise, so too bad.”
Seeing the marks on Rabiot’s leg, one can understand his reaction.
