Miguel Ángel Pichetto, former vice candidate of Mauricio Macri and current auditor general of the Nation, questioned this Friday the position of Ayelén Mazzina at the head of the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity.

“She is a lesbian, they could have put a woman,” considered the Macrista leaders.

In the middle of a debate about the crime of Lucio Dupuy, the Ministry led by Mazzina was mentioned and Pichetto threw: “It is in the hands of a girl who is a lesbian.”

Later, she tried to correct herself but she continued with her discriminatory line anyway: “It’s okay (that she is a lesbian). I believe in individual freedom, I believe in the right to happiness and I voted for all the laws of equality. But if it is the ministry of Woman, they could have put a woman.”

“She is a woman,” the journalist Jonatan Viale clarified.

Pichetto responded: “She’s a woman with others… Yes, yes. It’s fine. I’m politically incorrect.”

Ayelén Mazzina, 33, has been in charge of the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity since October 10, when she replaced Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, who had been in charge since December 10, 2019.
