Shock in the Region due to the tragic death of a fisherman who lost his life when he fell into the river when the boat in which he was preparing to return to the coast capsized. The fatal outcome took place yesterday afternoon in the La Bagliardi de Berisso beach area.
Always based on what was revealed by spokespersons linked to the case to this newspaper, the deceased fisherman was 66 years old, his name was Héctor, and they called him “El Ruso”, although his last name is not known at the moment. His death caused enormous shock and pain among his loved ones and relatives who, with the passing of time, received the sad news.
According to official sources, the unfortunate episode occurred when two men aged 72 and 65 entered the Río de la Plata with a boat and, at a time when they were trying to return, minutes before 2:30 p.m. at the height of the avenue 66, the boat capsized and they fell into the water.
In the midst of this situation, one of the men managed to be helped by Prefectural personnel who approached the place before an alert call to 106 and -according to details- he is out of danger after receiving assistance; Not so his partner who was found lifeless on the coast, according to what was confirmed at the scene by the Berisso Civil Defense and Emergencies Manager Roberto Scafati.
In addition to personnel and media from Prefectura La Plata, members of the Nautical Division of Civil Defense and experts from the Scientific Division of the Police worked at the site. It is worth mentioning that the case that was opened due to the fact is for “investigation of causes of death.”
