Google is expected to introduce its first foldable phone soon, and more images of the Pixel Fold showed what the device should look like. The content reaffirms what has already been seen in previous rumors, but now with higher resolution images revealed by leaker Evan Blass.
One of the features that most caught the attention of the device is the internal part. After all, the border around the display is thicker, especially above and below the screen.
Therefore, the use of this section should be proportionately lower compared to potential rivals such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and OPPO Find N2. On the other hand, this construction should offer comfortable ergonomics, with fewer accidental touches on the screen.
On the outside, the device must follow a well-known visual identity in the Pixel line. For this, the camera module extends horizontally, even if it does not touch the sides as it happens in the rigid screen Pixel.
The device should keep three cameras on the back, while the flash is a few millimeters on the side. The front assembly can be housed in a circular hole in the outer screen, which still has rounded corners.
The Pixel Fold in the images has a black construction, but Blass said it will also have a version with a shade called “Porcelain”.
Google Pixel Fold – what to expect
According to previous rumors, the Pixel Fold should have an internal screen of 7.69 inches, while the external panel would be 5.79 inches. Both panels can boast refresh rates of up to 120 Hz.
The device’s performance set should be led by a Tensor G2 processor, along with a security Titan M2 chip. It is also expected to have 12 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of internal storage.
Its main camera should have a 48 MP sensor, aligned with a 10 MP ultrawide and 10 MP telephoto with up to 5x zoom. The external front would bring 10 MP, while the internal one would have 8 MP.
The Pixel Fold is expected to be officially shown during Google I/O, a conference already scheduled for May 10. Until then, more details about the devices may appear through new leaks.
