Based on 14 metrics for 4 categories, the WalletHub site compiled the ranking of the worst airlines in the United States, in which for the second consecutive year Southwest ranked last, while Delta, also for the second year in a row, was the least bad reported Business Insider.
The first category, baggage and departures, was divided into 50 points for the subcategories of canceled flights, delays, lost baggage and refusal to board; the second is related to incidents with animals and is awarded 5 points.
The third category assigned 15 points to flight comfort and cost, legroom, entertainment, WiFi, complimentary snacks, and price.
The last was safety, with 30 points, which took into account the number of aviation accidents, as well as injuries and fatalities in them.
Insider listed the three categories that contributed the most to the overall rating.
