Mexico City.- Desperate to get money to buy drugs, José Carlos went with two accomplices to the house of his aunt, Sara Hilda Olarte Cid, 60 years old. She stole valuables, took her car, kidnapped her, and after days of searching, Veracruz authorities found her lifeless.
With the search form in hand, relatives and friends of the IMSS retiree protested yesterday in front of the entity’s Government Palace demanding that the search for the woman be expedited, who disappeared on February 12, when she was looted. his house located in the Jardines de la Pradera subdivision, in Xalapa.
The warning signs came on when his children Giovanna and Luis Torres Olarte noticed that he did not answer the calls, he hung up, his way of writing was not the usual one and they received a text that said: “He won’t let me answer.”
When they arrived at her mother’s house, they did not find her. The house was in disarray and calls to her phone were not even coming through.
In a press conference held this Friday, the Veracruz Prosecutor, Verónica Hernández Guiadáns, stated that the search for the lady began on February 14, when the family reported her disappearance.
He confirmed that Sara Hilda Olarte Cid was found dead last Thursday and, that same day, through inquiries, three people were arrested as alleged perpetrators of the woman’s disappearance: Raúl “N”, Manuel Alfonso “N” and José Carlos “N”, the latter the victim’s nephew.
Both the Prosecutor and Governor Cuitláhuac García expressed their regret that this crime was committed by a family member.
“I am very sorry that this happens between family members. Simply, a disappearance is unfortunate, but when the family allegedly participates, it worsens even more and I reiterate: I think this should make us all reflect on the actions that we must generate from each one of them. instances and from society to strengthen family values,” said Hernández Guiadáns.
Meanwhile, the Veracruz President highlighted the damage generated by the consumption of narcotics.
“What is presumed in this unfortunate fact is the consumption of drugs by one of the alleged perpetrators (the mobile) and that apparently was what had this outcome, allegedly depriving the aunt of life for wanting to steal her belongings and money, and well, the nephew does it,” he said.
