Los Angeles United States.- A plane being towed on a taxiway collided with a bus at Los Angeles International Airport Friday night, injuring five people.

The Federal Aviation Administration reported this Saturday that it is investigating the incident involving the American Airlines Airbus A321 aircraft. At the time of the incident, there were no passengers on board.

The airport said on Twitter that the plane was being towed from a gate to a parking area when it “made contact” with a bus carrying passengers between the terminals.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said four people were taken to hospitals after the “low-speed collision,” which happened around 10 p.m.

The only person on the plane, a worker, received treatment but refused to be taken to a hospital, according to the fire department. There was no disruption to airport operations.

A large skid mark could be seen from the plane’s tire, and the bus’s windshield had extensive damage, according to ABC7.com.
