This Saturday, April 22, the great ceremony of the Platino Awards will take place, which choose the best of Ibero-American cinema and will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Madrid.
But prior to the big party, this Friday the awards ceremony was held, chosen by the public who voted for what they liked the most of the year. It was there that the film “Argentina, 1985”, which competes in 12 categories, already won its first award Ricardo Darín, Peter Lanzani and Javiera Balmaceda.
“Let Javiera speak, she has supported us throughout the entire process of the film,” said Darín upon receiving the award for the popular vote.
The Argentine feature film tomorrow will compete for: Best Ibero-American Fiction Film; Best Direction (for Mitre); Screenplay (Mariano Llinás and Santiago Mitre), Original Music (Pedro Osuna); Male Interpretation (Darín, Lanzani); Male cast (Carlos Portaluppi, Norman Briski); Cast Female (Alejandra Flechner); Editing (Andrés Pepe Estrada); Art (Micaela Saiegh); Photography (Javier Juliá); Sound (Santiago Fumagalli); and Platinum for Cinema and Education in Values and is one of the great favorites of the night.
