Have you already enjoyed the unboxing of PlayStation VR2 by Everyeye.it but still don’t have enough? To appease your curiosity, Sony itself will take care of it, which has just published the official unpacking of the new generation Virtual Reality unit on its channels.
Kei Yoneyama took care of opening the package and describing its contents on behalf of mother Sony, Global Product Strategy & Management of PlayStations. The executive first explained that the package is made up of two layers; one outside, with the upper face blue and the other sides characterized by representative images of the product; an internal one of white color, which presents the PlayStation symbols on all facades to recall the concept of virtual space at 360°.
Upon opening the package, an additional small white box immediately appears, which contains the manual and accessories, ie the USB cableessential for charging and pairing the controllers, e stereo headphones for the headset, equipped with three ear pads of different sizes that can be interchanged as needed. Going deeper into the package they then pop up the PlayStation VR2 headset (which features the PlayStation symbols in relief just like PS5 and the DualSense) and the two controllers PlayStation VR2 Senseset inside a custom-molded housing made from sugar cane and bamboo.

The viewer, we remind you, will be available for purchase starting from from 22 February 2023 in a smooth edition at 599.99 euros or bundled with a digital copy of Horizon: Call of the Mountain for 649.99 euros. Keep in mind that PlayStation VR2 only works with PS5, therefore it is not compatible with PlayStation 4 or PC.
