Xavier Yvon: The senior index… There is a good chance that you have heard this term in the media in recent days, because it is closely linked to the pension reform… And I therefore welcome Philippine Robert, from the Economy department of L’Express Hello Filipina!
Philippine Robert: Hello Xavier!
Xavier Yvon: I’m not getting too wet, I’ll start with what I’m sure of: the senior index is a government proposal…
Philippine Robert: Yes ! absolutely. The seniors index is inspired by the index for professional equality between women and men. The goal is to show which companies employ seniors, and which are a little less virtuous in this regard. For the moment, we do not really know what the criteria will be, there will certainly be a consultation to come with the social partners. In addition to the employment rate of seniors, one can imagine that there is the rate of access to training for seniors, internal mobility or the rate of hiring of the over 55s. It will be implemented in companies with more than 1,000 employees from 2023 and by those with more than 300 employees in 2024.
