Auburn High School in Massachusetts was closed on Monday after a man was found dead outside the school. The man, who has not been identified, was found at around 6:35 a.m by a school employee.

Police are investigating the death but have not released any further details. The school district said in a statement that there is no threat to the community and that extra police will be on hand when classes resume on Sunday.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene and the area around the school was closed until 10:30 a.m., at which time the property was reopened, according to Auburn police.

Police said there appears to be no risk to the public.

The unattended death is being investigated by Auburn police detectives and state police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
