Mexico City.- A woman was threatened with a firearm by her partner after informing her that she wanted to leave her home in Iztapalapa.

Elements of the Secretariat for Citizen Security (SSC) helped her by responding to a C2 call for help about possible family violence in the San Juan Xalpa neighborhood.

At the site, the neighbors informed the elements of attacks at a home, so they decided to enter the house.

“They observed a man holding a firearm and threatening to shoot a woman,” the SSC reported.

Through verbal commands they asked the man to drop the weapon and he left it on an armchair, which allowed him to be detained.

The 22-year-old woman said that she no longer wanted to be mistreated and that after informing her sentimental partner that she was going to leave home, they argued and began to physically and verbally assault her and then point the firearm at her head.

After sheltering her, they directed her to receive psychological and legal support in the corresponding instances of assistance to women.

While the 27-year-old attacker was made available to the authorities of the Public Ministry as well as the weapon, charger and cartridges that were seized from him.
