A 23-year-old man from Argeş county, employed as a policeman at the Vaslui County Police Inspectorate (IPJ), was caught while driving a motorcycle on the national road DN 15D, being under the influence of two types of drugs.

The incident happened on Monday, in the commune of Ştefan cel Mare, when, as part of an action to detect drivers under the influence of drugs, the Vaslui Road Police officers checked their colleague, who was driving a motorcycle provisionally registered in Bucharest.
- “Following testing with the drugtest device, a positive result was recorded for two psychoactive substances.
- Later, the motorcycle driver was taken to the County Forensic Medicine Service, in order to collect biological samples to establish the presence of psychoactive substances in the body.
- In the case, a criminal case was drawn up for the offense of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances, and investigations will be carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Vaslui Court”, states IPJ Vaslui in a press release.
The IPJ Vaslui representatives told Agerpres that in parallel with the investigations carried out in the criminal case, the policeman is under disciplinary investigation, “following the completion of the checks, legal measures will be taken”. (Photo: Dreamstime.com)
