The Misiones Police detained in the last hours, in Posadas, a man involved in a violent armed robbery that occurred in San Ignacio to the detriment of an 84-year-old neighbor. The arrest occurred after the search of four properties, in addition, 796,700 pesos and clothing that would have been used at the time of the crime were seized. Police are still looking for another subject involved in the incident.

The investigation began after the victim’s complaint, who in front of the troops reported that she was at her home located in the Villa Ema neighborhood of the town of San Ignacio, when around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, two armed men reduced her. and they stole the money that she had in the house and then fled aboard a Gol Trend.

The Police managed to detect through the UR-X Investigation Brigade Division that the criminals would be in Posadas and continuing with the investigations, they managed to establish the locations where they would operate.

Thus, with the search warrants from the Investigating Court No. 6 of Posadas, they broke into four buildings, of which two yielded positive results, one in the Fátima neighborhood where they kidnapped 145,000 pesos, and the other in the Ripiera neighborhood with the kidnapping. of 651,700 pesos, clothing and the arrest of one of the perpetrators of the robbery.

Finally, the kidnappings and the detainee were taken to a police unit in order to continue with the relevant procedures. Both Courts were informed of the development of the procedures. It should be noted that the investigations continue in order to arrest the second person involved in the act.

The Infantry Guard Directorate, the Rapid Intervention Directorate, the Fatima Motorized Division and the UR-X Investigation Brigade Division, the 5th, 14th, Garupá Police Stations and the Fatima and Santa Clara Commando Divisions intervened in the operation.
