Peruvian that is respected. With a lot of creativity, enthusiasm and constant work, Yefi Roque Roca finally finished making his costume of the most famous alien creature, Predator. And it is that this 35-year-old from Lima offers, on weekends, artistic shows with different costumes that he makes himself. Some of them are from Gene Simmons (Kiss band), Terminator and Dead Pool. In addition, from Monday to Friday he teaches ex-local classes (an innovative exercise routine that combines functional, localized and cardio) to the moms of Collique, in commas. This time we found him in the aerobic room of the Deli Dance gym.

Yefi, you are the sensation of the place…
Yes, the girls here get excited when they see me in the suit, I’m the Predator from the gym (laughs). It’s new to teach like this, although it’s also tiring because I sweat more, you can’t imagine how I feel inside, ha ha ha.
How long have you been an aerobics instructor?
For six years now I have been teaching ex-local, a combat fitness training program that develops a variety of functional, localized and cardio exercises.

You have trained to teach…
Of course, I am constantly learning. I like to motivate people to play sports and lead a healthy life.
How long have you been wearing these suits?
For 15 years I have been doing artistic shows with curious costumes. I finished this one of the Predator recently, it took me a year and a half to make it. It’s that I do it myself, first I take out the molds and then I look for the materials, which are always recyclable, such as pipes, plastic bottles and microporous.
Did you study sewing or are you self-taught?
Sewing is in my veins because of my dad, he is a tailor and to this day he has his tailor shop in Lince. I think that’s why I have some notions to make the molds and sew.

And why didn’t you follow the family profession?
From the age of 15 to 25, I helped my father in the tailor shop. But I always liked the stage, dancing, playing my favorite characters. Therefore, I leaned towards my passions: doing shows with my costumes and teaching aerobics to my girls.
Have you participated in cosplay contests?
I haven’t had the opportunity, maybe later I will.
And how did you dare to do the Predator?
He had done shows before in a Predator suit, but he rented it out. It was very expensive and on top of that you had to take care of it as much as possible because if you didn’t they would charge you for the repair. That made me decide to make one of my own and here is the result.

Sure, I’ll make Alien, to do the versus with the Predator (laughs).
