Members of the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) kidnapped a shipment of more than 1,440 kilograms of marijuana, which they intended to enter the country along the coast of the town of Puerto Rico.

According to what was reported by official sources of the Force, the procedure began when PNA personnel, who were at a border surveillance post, observed the transversal crossing from the Paraguayan coast to the Argentine coast of a boat with several packages and crew on board, who unloaded the packages and began the return.

As a result of this, the Prefecture deployed a large operation through the area in which the GC-198 Toba border coast guard participated. In this way, the troops managed to find, near a place known as Puerto Mil Hectareas, 43 packages that contained 1,987 loaves of marijuana inside.

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office of Oberá intervenes in the event.
