Virgilia Hess tells the different stages of her breast cancer

This Thursday, February 23, it is in a series of Instagram posts that Virgilia Hess detailed the different stages of her illness. It all started at the end of 2022 when she went to her obstetrician for a check-up. After checking her breasts, her obstetrician discovered a lump in the left breast of the young woman. The latter was prescribed a prescription for a breast ultrasound to “check it and let’s talk more” says Virgilia Hess in her post. But on her way to her breast ultrasound a few weeks later, Virgilia Hess was panicked at the moment of the diagnosis. Her radiologist called her medical secretary to an appointment as part of a “biopsy”. This one “consists of removing a small amount of tissue from the tumor using a needle under local anesthesia”. About ten days later, and after having had to “support severe pain in the chest and a huge hematoma“, the young woman learned that she had breast cancer.

I was also amazed by the number of women experiencing or having experienced the same thing. All these messages from women confirm my idea that it is necessary to talk about it to raise awareness because far too affected (…) If I hadn’t been pregnant, I wouldn’t have had control because considered “too young”. And this filthy disease might have been discovered too late…”
