President of the JEM asked the Comptroller's Office to examine the correspondence of his assets

The president-elect, Santiago Peña, confirmed Cynthia Figueredo as the next Minister for Women. The future head of the State portfolio, she stated that she is “honored and committed” to the position she will occupy.

“The glorious Paraguayan woman is thus recognized in the world. However, at times, our women are not part of our public policy, ”said Santiago Peña, through his usual video announcing members of his cabinet.

Pena added that Cynthia Figueredo, as future Minister of Women, will have the responsibility of interacting with the different State agencies.

For his part, Figueredo indicated that his priorities will be autonomy, the political and economic empowerment of women and above all, a life free of violence.

“I feel very honored, committed and excited to be part of President Peña’s cabinet, in such a way that I can face public policies for and by women,” said the future minister.

“I dream of a Paraguay where women can develop freely in all areas of life”, Figueredo added.

Figueredo is

public accountant and currently holds the position of director of Gender Policies of the Superior Court of Electoral Justice and the Political Training School for Women Leaders.
