One injury follows the next.

The “RTL Diving” had already caused some uproar in the run-up to the live show. One Injury after the other, the celebrity participants visited – sometimes with dramatic consequences: reality starlet Vanessa Mariposa (30) had to because of a burst breast implant give up, bobsleigh world champion Kevin Kuske (44) suffered a torn shoulder tendon and also dropped out.

Nosebleed after somersault

In the live show on Friday evening, the next participant announced his end: circus artist René Casselly (26) burst both eardrums during training. He reported to the moderators Jan Köppen (39) and Frank Buschmann (58) that his hearing had suffered noticeably: “I can hardly understand you either.”

Nevertheless, the “Let’s Dance” star was lucky: “Otherwise I might have the same doctor as Thorsten Legat.”

“Princess Charming” Irina hose (32) climbed onto the springboard with a fair amount of fear – the bruises on her body spoke for themselves. Her jump bothered her beforehand: “It went wrong at the rehearsal today.”

Nevertheless, she dared to take on the challenge of the “Auerbach somersault tucked”. But shortly after the jump it was clear: That must have hurt. Irina hit her face directly on the water surface and showed up with a nosebleed to presenter Laura Wontorra (33). Köppen was also worried: “It definitely hurt a bit. How much, she will report herself in a moment.”

Wontorra immediately got a handkerchief and called for medical help: “Our doctors and paramedics are looking over it right away. You’re bleeding a bit!” And that wasn’t Irina’s only injury, as she later reported: “I also fell on my face more often. It then feels like someone is slapping you in the face.”

It wasn’t enough for Irina for the second round, but despite her injury she bravely competed in synchronized jumping with “Prince Charming” participant Lars Tönsfeuerborn (33). But Lars also complained about pain after his jump: “I definitely have a date with the physio now. Now it’s definitely going on the spine.” He had to drop out and failed to compete in the next lap in synchronized swimming.

Gigi Birofio “jumps” himself

Some jungle stars also ventured into the cool water. Jungle King 2017 Marc Terenzi (44) jumped for his fiancée Verena Kerth (41), who was excited in the audience. Jolina Mennen (30) and Gigi Birofio (23), who also wanted to shine in the jumping hall, had just returned from the jungle.

Gigi, however, seemed to have trouble remembering which jump to perform first – and suddenly made a twist during his performance that wasn’t intended at all. He couldn’t understand his bad rating because of this and defiantly replied: “But I made a screw!” Immediately he whined: “Can’t we swap, dude? That was the second jump!”

In fact, the jury was at a disadvantage, re-evaluated his jump and thus promoted the reality star to second place: “It was really a good jump in terms of quality.”

Gold in singles for Fabian Hambüchen

However, no one got past HIM. Gymnastics Olympic champion Fabian Hambüchen (35) literally enchanted the jury and the audience with his jumps and ended up in first place. Wontorra was impressed: “You could do it almost professionally.” In fact, the sports ace had already thought about it: “The idea keeps coming up.”

In synchronized jumping, the “Ninja Warrior” participants Arleen Schüßler (30) and Simon Brunner (26) were happy about first place.
