career and personal life
Neuhauser grew up in two worlds. She was born in Athens. Her father was a Greek architect. Her Austrian grandparents were painters, as was her brother Peter Marquant. At the age of four the family moved to Vienna. Little Adele has wanted to be an actress since she was six. The mother left the family and took the older brother with her. Adele and her brother stayed with their father.
The resulting family situation was difficult for Adele Neuhauser. She suffered from the separation of her parents and from childhood guilt. She cut her wrists for the first time when she was ten. More suicide attempts followed until she was 21.
✔︎ From 1976 to -79 Neuhauser did her acting training at the Krauss acting school in Vienna.
✔︎ She acted in theaters in Münster, Essen, Mainz and in between also in Vienna. At the Stadttheater Regensburg she played in 1999 z. B. as a woman Mephisto in “Faust”.
✔︎ In addition to her work on stage, Adele Neuhauser has also been in front of the camera for film and television since 1978. She made her TV debut in the satirical crime series Kottan Investigates.
✔︎ Adele Neuhauser was married to Zoltan Paul. Their son Julian Pajzs, born in 1987, is a jazz musician and film composer. She now lives in Vienna again.
