With 62.26 percent of the audience votes Djamila Rowe (55), the “substitute candidate” from Berlin, was named Queen of the Jungle Djamila I on Sunday evening.
The single mother with the Berlin dialect has the tough guys in her Jungle camp completely boiled and left far behind – and THAT, although she had to abandon the final jungle exam and returned to the camp without stars.
For Djamila, the task with the snorkel was the really toughest jungle test ever, EVER, EVER!

It was probably the most exciting finale of all 16 seasons: the candidates Gigi Birofio (23), Lucas Cordalis (55) and Djamila Rowe (55) fought for the crown until the end.
The highlight is always the last test, which is about the favorite food of the bush residents. The meal they more than earned after 17 days at camp.
While Gigi and Lucas got the stars for the main meal and the desired dessert gagging and screaming and Lucas even got his ‘after work beer’ on top, the starter hung on Djamila. And that was anything but easy.

Beforehand, she told her fellow campers that she couldn’t stand it if her head had to be under water. And what happened? Djamila got the test with the cryptic name “Correct”.
Djamila, equipped with diving goggles and snorkel, had to stick her head into a glass aquarium from below. This should then be filled first with water and then with eels, crayfish, water spiders and toads. But it didn’t get that far…

While the spectators were still amused by their splashed XXL lips on the mouthpiece of the snorkel, the first liters of water ran into the glass case.
Within a few seconds, however, Rowe pulled the rip cord and stopped the test. “I got a lot of water in my mouth,” the finalist apologized sadly to the moderators Sonja Zietlow (54) and Jan Köppen (39).

But then something happened that no jungle fan had ever expected: the moderator, who was otherwise so hard and sharp-tongued, gave Djamila a second chance. For the first time in the history of the jungle, a candidate was allowed to run a second time. And the reactions are quite positive:
However, it did not change the result, because attempt number two was also ended by the participant after a few seconds. In other words: zero stars so no appetizer.
Djamila was able to explain the reason why she had to complete the exam directly: “Water came through my nose, I couldn’t breathe anymore. My nose is very small, narrow … that’s also made – the mouth worked this time, but the nose was the problem. It annoys me, it sucks.” Your fans are still enthusiastic:
And their fellow campers also showed understanding. Italo macho Gigi hugged Djamila tightly and told her that she didn’t have to prove anything to anyone here. That’s right – in the end she won by far ahead of pop singer Lucas Cordalis and reality star Birofio.
