Game news PS5: this new Silent Hill could well be a PlayStation exclusive
The avalanche of new projects announced around the horrific license Silent Hill seems to bury a few more nice surprises. The very mysterious Silent Hill: The Short Message could well be a PS5 exclusive!
New start for the Silent Hill franchise in 2023
Konami struck very hard at the end of October by lifting the veil on a multitude of new projects around the horror franchise Silent Hill. In 2023, fans will therefore finally have the opportunity to reconnect with the tortured universe of the most gloomy license of survival-horror through several titles offered on very different media. But it could well be that the youngest has hidden something from us…
Projects in shambles for a big name in horror games
If it necessarily attracts all eyes, the remake of Silent Hill 2 by the Bloober Team studio (Layers of Fear, The Medium, Blair Witch) should not make us forget that Konami is also preparing much more unexpected surprises around this historical saga.. Starting with Silent Hill: Townfall, a title developed by No Code and published by Annapurna Interactive to whom we owe the recent Stray. But for many, the most astonishing project might just be the very enticing Silent Hill f scripted by author Ryukishi07 and rooted in 60s Japan for a result that is sure to evoke the series. Project Zero or even Forbidden Siren in terms of chilling Japanese mystical vibes. Beyond the video game, we must also mention the mysterious interactive series Silent Hill: Ascension and the film Return to Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans which could be a tribute to the second part of the saga. Suffice to say that such an anthology of intriguing and promising announcements would almost make us forget that another project was also vaguely (and unintentionally) mentioned.
Silent Hill: The Short Message exclusively on PS5?
Appeared furtively on the site of the organization of evaluation and classification of the games in South Korea several months ago already, the very mysterious Silent Hill: The Short Message has, so to speak, not been talked about again since, to the point that we were still totally unaware of what it could be about. But here it is this one suddenly reappears in a document relating to the game classification of Taiwan’s digital games… with an important detail: the name of the medium to which Silent Hill: The Short Message is associated. And this is the PS5.
We can therefore now rely on an upcoming title on the console’s PlayStation Store and likely a PS5 exclusive ! The most pessimistic still point out that the use of the term “short” in the title could as well suggest a simple demo for one of the other announced projects…
