A group of about ten people fired pyrotechnics in Berlin-Schoeneberg around 9 p.m. on Friday, hitting the inside of a car. The police reported this on Saturday.

A rocket flew through an open window on the passenger side of the VW of a 32-year-old, who was stopped at a red light at that moment. The fireworks then exploded inside the car. The driver was not injured, but parts of the interior of the car and the driver’s clothing were damaged.

According to the police, a 25-year-old pedestrian indicated that she was slightly injured in one hand by an exploding object. Passers-by called the police to the intersection of Potsdamer Straße/Pallasstraße/Goebenstraße. The group of people from which the objects were shot fled undetected in the direction of Potsdamer Strasse.

The criminal police have taken over the investigation into the damage to property and the dangerous bodily injuries. (tsp)
