Qatar’s ambassador to Algeria, Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama, considered that relations between his country and Algeria were a “model of inter-Arab integration”, underlining the crossing of “pivotal stages” in 2022, in bilateral relations in favor of a “promising strategic partnership”. And this during an interview he gave to the APS, during which he raised several points, including the economic partnerships between the two countries.

To a question on the improvement of the level of the economic partnership between the two countries, Al-Naama declared that if “it is good to evoke the Algerian-Qatari relations, it would be better to apply them on the ground”, considering that “the prospects for economic cooperation are firm convictions between the brothers of the two countries to achieve a greater rapprochement, in application of the aspirations of the enlightened leaderships of the two countries”.

The latter also stressed the need to translate these convictions and aspirations on the ground by “accompanying the businessmen of the two countries and overseeing their coordination through the Joint High Commission which held meetings in Doha and in Algiers, sanctioned by agreements that the two countries are working to implement on the ground”.

In addition, the Qatari ambassador recalled that the Qatari League of Businessmen welcomed the promulgation of the new Algerian law on investment, which offers “wealth-creating opportunities for both parties, something that we have seen during successive visits by Qatari businessmen to access the production and industry market in Algeria and prepare the necessary arrangements for this,” he said.

Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama also recently signed an investment agreement to strengthen cooperation and investment in the development and management of 73 hotels under the Hotel, Tourism and Hydrotherapy (HTT) group throughout the country. national territory, indicating that his country intends to launch other tourism projects, in addition to commercial, food and industrial projects.

To conclude, the Qatari diplomat reiterated his country’s desire to “contribute to government efforts in Algeria, a brother country to protect environmental diversity and protect endangered animals through projects in the field”.
