VSn Thursday, the European Parliament, meeting in plenary session, voted to lift the immunities of Marc Tarabella and Andrea Cozzolino.
Marc Tarabella, present at the assembly on Thursday, had also declared that he was going to vote for the lifting of his own immunity. He said he was calm in the face of the media, present in large numbers for the plenary session which opened at 11 a.m.
This vote was eagerly awaited after, on January 31, the deputies of the European Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee had already voted unanimously for this lifting. “An unambiguous vote”, declared Manon Aubry, rapporteur for the two files, when she left.
