By cutting hardware and subscription prices, Qiara wants to revolutionize the field of connected alarms. A method similar to that of Free when it was launched in telecoms.

With Qiara, Alexis Bidinot kicks the anthill. Its objective: to make remote monitoring accessible to all. To do this, the company’s founder created a price-breaking connected alarm.

“A system is sold between 800 and 1000 euros, we come to offer it at 99 euros”, welcomes Alexis Bidinot, the founder of Qiara on the Tech&Co set.

A breakthrough strategy

Also on the subscription front, Qiara is taking an aggressive stance. Its offer starts from 9.99 euros the first year. “At the maximum of the maximum, you will pay less than thirty euros to have remote monitoring”, assures Alexis Bidinot.

This disruptive strategy recalls the early hours of Free in the telecom sector. No wonder that since Alexis Bidinot participated in the launch of the telephone operator and internet service provider. He was then Deputy CEO of the Iliad group, to which Free belongs.

“It’s a recipe whose results we have seen come true, in which we believe enormously, and which we think is applicable to this market”, specifies the founder of Qiara.

This recipe consists of “shaking up a market with relatively little competition and offering the best product, at the best price”, explains Alexis Bidinot.

To complete his speech, Qiara announces a French production at 90%. Apart from the optics of the camera, “all of whose skills are in Asia”, all the connected alarm is manufactured by a partner in Laval, in Mayenne.
