MIAMI.– Rains and strong winds will affect southern Florida until next Sunday due to the influence of a low pressure center that pushes clouds over the east coast of the state, according to the forecast of the Weather Forecast Office of the National Weather Service .
Today, Thursday, skies will be cloudy, with the possibility of heavy rain and flooding due to excess precipitation.
“The threat of heavy rain and flooding may persist until the weekend,” the note warns.
Wind gusts of 30 to 40 miles per hour are expected between Thursday and Saturday, with the strongest gusts near the East Coast in the Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade metropolitan areas.
