RARE mocks Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom vehicles for resembling those from Banjo-Kazooie

During the last Nintendo Direct, fans got a new look at The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdombut this latest trailer has lent itself to some comparisons to Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Boltsand now RARE has reacted to the situation.

TLoZ: Tears of the Kingdom has shown fans new episodes and gameplay, including some newly built ground and air vehicles. Details on them are scant, but they remarkably share the same colors as Link’s new arm.

The new vehicles in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are certainly exciting, but its overall design brought Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts (and its vehicles) to the minds of many fans.

There were several doctored images featuring the Nuts and Bolts logo in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and comments, quickly becoming an online meme and RARE didn’t let a moment go by without contributing.

Taking to their official Twitter account, RARE shared an image from Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts featuring the titular duo in an air vehicle, immediately bringing to mind Link’s new air vehicle.

The text reminds fans that the game is available through Rare Repla and Xbox Game Pass, but the account states that it “felt compelled to remind everyone, that’s all. She didn’t do it for anything in particular.” Which means, of course, that he did it because of the comparisons to the new Zelda game. Just as Rare saw fit to have fun with the comparisons, so did the fans.
