Redfall had the daunting task of wrapping up the Xbox Developer Direct conference. The new game from the dads of Dishonored showed up with no less than 10 minutes of commented gameplay.
Announced in 2021, Redfall is one of two big Xbox Series releases this year. Overshadowed by a certain Starfield that draws all eyes, Arkane’s new game (Dishonored, Prey) this time had the honors with a long and fairly detailed presentation during the first Xbox Developer Direct. The conference was certainly an opportunity to show what the FPS has in store, but above all to confirm a rumor that has been floating around the net for a few weeks now.
A release date and 10 minutes of gameplay for Redfall
Redfall takes advantage of Starfield’s absence from the Xbox conference on Wednesday January 25 to remind us that it exists. The cooperative title, but playable in solo, in which it is a question of embodying a team of four vampire hunters, has redone the presentations with new gameplay sequences. The opportunity to remember that each character will have their own skills. Gang engineer Remi de la Rosa will be accompanied by his robot, Layla Ellison will have psychic powers to take down bloodsuckers, inventor Devinder Crousley will use and abuse homemade weapons while former sniper Jacob Boyer will be a master of precision.
Together, they will have to cooperate to free the island from red fall of the occupation of vampires who also have their specialties. Danger lurks around every corner and it will be imperative to participate in the various missions of the open world and face mini-bosses to make the city safer for the survivors. It will nevertheless be necessary to collect information on the mysteries which surround the island in order to meet the famous “vampire gods” who control everything.
With no less than 10 minutes of commented gameplay, Redfall showed what it has in its belly. However, you will have to wait a little longer before putting your hands on it. Rumors were right, the game will finally be released on May 2, 2023 on Xbox Series, PC and Xbox Game Pass.
