In China today are the three new smartphones Redmi K60, K60 Pro and K60E been presented. There are noticeable technical differences between the three devices. It starts with the SoC. Only the K60 Pro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The K60 is content with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the K60E switches on the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 instead.

Staying with the top model, the K60 Pro, there is an AMOLED display with 6.67 inches, 3,200 x 1,440 pixels, HDR10+, 120 Hz refresh rate, 480 MHz touch sampling rate and a maximum brightness of 1,400 nits on board. The fingerprint scanner sits under the screen. The 16-megapixel front camera sits in a punch hole. There are 50 (wide angle, Sony IMX800, OIS) + 8 (ultra wide angle) + 2 (macro) megapixels for the main camera.

The battery of the Redmi K60 Pro comes to 5,000 mAh and can be charged with 120 watts, wirelessly it is still 30 watts. The Redmi K60 Pro comes in the colors green, white, black and as a so-called “Champion Performance Edition”. Prices start at around 455 euros for the variant with 8 / 128 GB. If you want 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage space, you should pay 620 euros. The sale starts on 12/31/2022.

The regular Redmi K60 again comes with a 6.67-inch, 1440 AMOLED screen, but adjusts the rear cameras. Here are 64 (wide angle, OIS) + 8 (ultra wide angle) + 2 (macro) megapixels in it. Wireless charging remains at 30 watts, but wired charging is only possible with a maximum of 67 watts. The battery capacity is slightly higher at 5,500 mAh.

The Redmi K60 is available in the colors white, green, blue/leather and black/carbon. The price starts here for 335 euros with 8 / 128 GB. If you need the maximum equipment with 16 / 512 GB, you should pay 485 euros.

That leaves the Redmi K60E, which retains the screen of the sibling models, but reduces the brightness to a maximum of 1,200 nits, so to speak. The battery corresponds to that of the K60 – also in terms of wired charging. However, wireless charging is no longer required. As for the cameras, for the main camera we find 48 (wide angle, OIS) + 8 (ultra wide angle) + 2 (macro) mega-pixels.

There are also downgrades for RAM and storage space: Instead of relying on LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 as with the other two models, you switch to UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5. The Redmi K60E is priced at 295 euros with 8 / 128 GB. It is available in white, black and green.

It is unknown whether the Redmi K60, K60 Pro and K60E will appear in Germany.
